California Hotel Sponsors!

We are in the final days of pre-production for our California shoots and we just wanted to highlight some of the hotels that have sponsored our trip!

We will be with the Omni Hotels & Resorts at Omni San Diego Hotel, The Omni San Francisco Hotel & The Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza!   These beautiful hotels have Kid’s Suites that we are really looking forward to staying in!

The Holiday Inn Santa Monica Beach – At the Pier will be our home while we stay at this beach destination!  What a great location for all of our activities at the Pier!

The Loews Lake Las Vegas will be a stay to remember!  When we are in Las Vegas we will enjoy the lake, mountains and resort activities that this Loews has to offer!

We look forward to our visit with each of these different facilities and we will be posting our experiences during the trip as well as after the trip with specific clips!  If you have suggestions for things not to miss at each of these places, please let us know!  We don’t want to miss a thing!

Update on Evan…

Many have asked us what we have been doing the last several months. With very few updates on the website it seemed as though we fell off the face of the earth. Well…we sort of did.

This past year Evan, the middle “tour guide” of Kiddin’ Around lost his eyesite in one eye. Nearly overnight he went from perfect vision to NO vision. We went on a long journey of visits to hospitals for tests and doctors appointment after doctors appointment. He was finally diagnosed with two very different conditions.

We Are Heading West!!!

Kiddin’ Around USA is heading to California!!!  Oh how excited we are to see the sites that make up this great state!  We will be leaving Indiana on March 19, 2011 and will arrive in Anaheim, CA a few days later!  Of course, we will make several stops along the way!  Oklahoma City to see the memorial, Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo & The Grand Canyon are just a few of the stops we will make!  During our trip to California we will visit San Diego, Anaheim, Santa Monica, Catalina Island, Los Angeles, San Francisco and several stops in between!  If you have a great suggestion of a place not to miss, please add it to this post!  We want to, “See IT ALL”!

Website Redesign – Please excuse our mess

We are back from hiatus! We will explain why we took 6 months off later this week. Plans are in the works for Season 3. We are taking a 4 week road trip out west. New TV stations/networks, new plans, new adventures, & new giveaways/deals for our fans. Thank you from all of us!!

In the mean time, since we were iced in the last few days, we have started to redesign our website. Over the next month, we will be adding features, videos (we have over 100 coming soon), & more to better serve you.

Central Park, New York City

Central Park in New York City is arguably the most beautiful park in the country. With more than 25 million visitors each year, Central Park has more annual visitors than Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Disneyland combined! We found out why! There are so many different interests represented inside the park from family time at the zoo and carousel to the more upscale Metropolitan Museum of Art! Hope aboard a horse-drawn carriage and get ready for a great visit to Central Park!

Skytop Lodge, Pocono Mountains

There is nothing more magical than a castle on a hill. That is the image you will see pulling up to the Skytop Lodge in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania! This beautiful resort is a destination all in itself, but we did manage to leave for one very exciting whitewater rafting trip down the Lehigh River! Sit back and get ready to be inspired to plan your trip to the Skytop Lodge!

New Orleans

Thought you couldn’t, or shouldn’t, take your kids to New Orleans? Well think again! We found so many attractions that this city has to offer that are not only family-friendly but now family favorites! From the WWII Museum to playing with baby alligators, this city has left a true impression on our family! We will never forget the food from New Orleans – ESPECIALLY the chocolate covered crickets!

Texas, Texas and More Texas

Three episodes came out of Texas: Ft. Worth (the friendly Cowboy city), San Antonio (the friendly Alamo/Spanish city) and Houston (the friendly Space/Bar-B-Q city)! Do you see a pattern? We did! Texas is, by far, the most consistently friendly state we have been to so far! With three very different cities you will see three very different episodes! Plan more than one trip to Texas! We are already ready to go back!

Episode Highlights: The Alamo, Log Cabin Village, Fort Worth Stockyards, Billy Bob’s Texas, NASA Houston Space Center, San Antonio Riverfront

USS Razorback

When you add up all the experiences that we had in Season One and so far in Season Two they do not compare to the night we spent on the USS Razorback. The history of that WWII submarine, the torpedoes that are still there today and the trying to feel what those sailors felt on that boat was a once in a lifetime experience. Little Rock, Arkansas has plenty to offer, but nothing better than the USS Razorback. At least in our opinion!
