The Specifics…

Who?
Who is the show for?  While we hope that people of all ages and walks of life will enjoy the show, our target audience is children up to 14 years of age and their families.

Who is the show created by?  We are the Gaw family,  a traveling family.  We homeschool our kids and let America teach them lessons of love, laughter, and excitement. As Evan puts it, “The world is our backyard”.

Erin, Evan & Alex are the heart and soul of the show!  Not only are they on-air talent, they also shoot b-roll, take still shots, write blogs and plan activities for each show.

Erin says that the thing she likes best about traveling is exploring.  One place she can’t wait to see is Montana.  Erin’s favorite place that she has visited so far is Disney.

Evan says that the thing he likes best about traveling is driving through big cities.  One place he can’t wait to see is Hollywood.  Evan’s favorite place that he has visited so far is New York City.

Alex says that the thing he likes best about traveling is getting to go someplace new.  One place he can’t wait to see is Texas.  Alex’s favorite place that he has visited so far is Disney.

What?
Simply Stated: Kiddin’ Around USA is a reality-type travel show for kids, done by kids. Three “tour guides”, Erin – 11, Evan – 9 & Alex – 8, take viewers through the United States and show them different attractions/locations/events (whatever we are filming at the time) and highlight the things that kids would like to see and experience.

In our second season we will be focused heavily on environmentally friendly travel. We will be doing service projects along the way to encourage families to make their travels more ecofriendly.

Where?
America! America is a beautifully made country filled with God’s creation, man-made attractions and all around adventure in 50 states! 

Season two is scheduled to include cities in Georgia, Florida, North & South Carolina, Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Washington, Oregon, all of New England & Washington DC.

When?
We film all year long.  Some locations have better times to visit than others and we will try to make a special note of that.  Look for lists of festivals and special activities that we have put together for you to make planning a great trip easier.

Season two will begin shooting in late January 2010.

Why?
Two reasons:

First, studies show that kids who travel are more well rounded, more open, and even more successful in life.

Second, we believe travel is an important part of the bonding experience between parents and children.  No matter what your budget happens to be, parents and kids should travel together and American is a filled with great places to visit!  Let us guide you to your next family adventure!
