The Gateway To The West

St. Louis was a mystery to us. We always knew that the Gateway Arch was a huge attraction, and there was a great zoo (so everyone said) but never thought there was much more to do there. WOW, we were wrong! St. Louis is filled with family-friendly activities. The biggest problem we had was deciding which ones to do! We only had a few days, but this episode will give you great ideas of places to visit on your trip to St. Louis!

St. Louis Fun Fact

At the St. Louis World’s Fair in 1904, the ice cream cone was invented. An ice cream vendor ran out of cups and asked a waffle vendor to help by rolling up waffles to hold ice cream.

Crazy St. Louis Laws

In St. Louis, it is illegal for an on-duty firefighter to rescue a woman wearing a nightgown; in order to be rescued, a woman must be fully dressed.

In St. Louis a milk man may not run while on duty.
